If you´re wondering how to arrive in Can Picafort, Mallorca you can only arrive by highway from any of the roads on the island. Nonetheless, the Port of Alcudia or Palma will bring you to the penninsula. If you´re coming from an international point you can also arrive by plane through the international airport of San Joan in Palma. So come to the Balearic Islands in Spain. By car
It normally takes around one and a half hours to get here from Son Sant Joan International airport, on the outskirts of Palma.
The PM-27 Motorway will take you north all the way to the town of Inca. From here it’s a bit complicated. You can either cut right across the country or keeping going north to Alcudia and then take the coast road east through Playa de Muro into Can Picafort.
By taxi
If you’d prefer not to drive you can always get a taxi. There’s always plenty of them available from the ranks outside of the arrivals hall. You might have to queue for a while though. It will cost you around 75 euros to get from the airport to C’an Picafort.
This supposedly "fixed" price can vary quite considerably depending on the number of passengers, amount of bags you have, and the time of the day - so be prepared.
Most of the taxis don't, as a general rule, carry child seats so if you are bringing children they'll have to site on your knee for the entire journey.
One way around this is to arrange a pre-booked taxi. Make sure you specify at the time of booking that a child seat is needed for the journey. |
